Yellow Stone Bath Top

We think the following 4 materials are ideal for bathroom countertops: Granite, Marble, Quartzite, Soapstone

The cost to replace a bathroom vanity countertop ranges from $400 to $4,300. The price depends on the material you choose for the countertop.

In general, granite will cost you somewhere between $35 to $75 per square foot. Although the high end may look pricey, granite overall is relatively inexpensive compared to other natural stone options.

Quartz is a better choice than marble or granite for a bathroom vanity countertop. Since quartz is engineered and not a natural stone slab like marble or granite, it's less expensive and more eco-friendly. Unlike marble or granite, quartz is nonporous, making it less susceptible to bacteria and more durable.

You should avoid using acid-based cleaners (lemon, orange, vinegar or bleach-based) on granite. That means those disinfecting wipes (which contain citric acid) that make cleanup so easy are actually quite bad for your granite's seal.

Bathroom vanities often come with sinks but rarely come with faucets.
