Monolithic natural stone columns are among the heaviest stones used in architecture. Artificial stone columns, on the other hand, consist of custom design of multiple big panels of curved or flat artificial stone, attached to each other with epoxy or special anchors. Artificial stone columns are easier and more economical to make a column with a correctly selected artificial stone and install it in its place than natural stone. They also become lighter and often do not act as carriers in the building structure. Artificial stone columns are used for decorative purposes only in building design. However, natural stone columns, a purpose since ancient times, is to be a vertical carrier in the general structure of the building. Artificial stone columns are difficult and not economical to make in very small sizes due to their construction technique. They are designed in relatively large scales, which causes us to encounter them only at the entrances of large hotels, modern office buildings, hospitals, government buildings.
