Travertine Slabs

The travertine slab production like other stone slabs is done by gang saw machines in large sizes. Depending on rough blocks, the sizes of slabs are various but the maximum size of the slab is 200 cm in height and 300cm in length. The standard thicknesses are 2 and 3 cm.

Travertine costs about $25 to $50 per square foot in US market. The price of granite starts from about $35-$75 per square foot. Travertine tiles cost an average of $3 less per square foot than both marble and granite.

Cost of travertine slabs vary depending on their type. The slab countertops can have their prices varied between $25 to $50 per sq foot (in US market). This is the cost of only the stone. Professional installation and initial treatment can raise the price to $50 to $100 per sq foot.

A suitable cleaning agent is a soap-free cleanser that is specifically suitable for use on natural stone, such as limestone and travertine. Another option is a few drops of mild liquid dish soap mixed with warm water. Your preferred cleaning product can be applied with a soft mop or a wet vacuum.
