Marble is durable if it is cared for properly and consistently. With proper care, it just may outlast every other piece of furniture in your home! It's timeless, it will never really go out of style. Notice how even antique pieces of marble furniture never get outdated.

Dust the surface once or twice a week with a soft cloth. Wash the marble periodically with a cloth dampened with warm water, and, if necessary, a bit of mild dishwashing liquid. Remove the soap with another damp cloth. Never use dusting sprays or abrasive cleaners on your marble.

All scratches on marble and onyx surfaces can be removed, from lighter scratches that just require some polish. Deeper scratches will require the use of abrasives to remove them. Removing scratches with abrasives can be done wet or dry.

The ideal natural stone coffee table is two-thirds the width of your sofa. If you have a sectional with a chaise, then the table should be two-thirds the size of the sofa portion only. This creates a balanced look in the room.
