Basalt Slabs

While basalt rock is one of the most robust natural stone options available, it's still necessary to seal it to protect against inevitable wear and tear. Basalt's hard-wearing nature means it's popular, alongside materials such as granite, for high-use areas like paving stones and kitchen surfaces.

Certainly! Basalt is one of the most suitable natural stones for floor coverings due to its high strength. Basalt is a great option not only for floor coverings, but also for kitchen countertops as it does not contain calcium carbonate and does not disintegrate when exposed to acidic substances. Basalt stone is available in slab form for cladding, cobblestones or tiles, and can be used for everything from fireplace surrounds to accent walls.

1- Clean the dirt on the surface. Start by removing any dust, dirt or debris from your surface.

2- Clean/wipe with water.

3- Always seal your natural stone.

4- Never drag furniture or heavy things over your basalt tiles.

5- Do not use a water sprayer.

6- Clean up spills immediately.

7- Have spare basalt tiles.

Basalt can be cut with a wet saw or with a hand grinder using a diamond or masonry blade.
